In the beginning of the year, my friend Luann asked me to determine “a word” to focus on for the year. (It is only today that I have been connected to this website.) After prayer and searching, I chose “WORDS”. I know, it seems hokey; choose a word, and I select “words”. But I am increasingly aware of the importance of words in my walk with God … more of them for HIM, less of them for me; to have eyes to see the opportunities that God places before me and to use my words to build up others, NEVER to break them down; words of support and encouragement, love and compassion. And so, every day since, this is my prayer: “Father God, may the WORDS of my mouth and the meditations of my heart, be pleasing in your sight, my Rock and my Redeemer.”
