My One Word: Still
I selected my word at the beginning of 2015 after reading My One Word. It actually started out as Calm and my verse was Matt. 8:26. I chose it because when I went through the exercise, calm kept coming up in the definitions/verses I was listing. At first, God wanted to show me that in His presence, no matter what is going on around me, there is calm. As I’ve journeyed through this year, God is morphed my word to still. Ps. 46:10. Be still and know that He is God. Be still and let Him work, instead of me. So that I can without doubt, give Him all of the glory. It is hard, because I am definitely a doer, but I know that my relationship with Him is growing deeper because I am waiting for Him to act. And in that waiting, I am seeking Him like I never have before.
