My One Word: Audacious
Audacious. I want people to see through my life that we have a God who wants others to know He fulfills the audacious. The part of audacious I want to be known for is a person who takes bold risks for God. Risks that are daring, fearless, intrepid, brave, courageous, valiant, heroic, and plucky. Some of these risk will require a daredevil, venturesome, informal gutsy, or spunky attitude or determination. I want to serve an audacious God, the one who can do the amazing-that we can dare to ask, but in moderation knowing it will only happen if it fulfills God’s plan or will for my life. Yet that’s the temperance in moderation/audaciousness I want to display this year. To find the line of audacious without crossing over into the obnoxious audacity. As I do audacious things I want to evaluate it by audacity and not by being stupid-or tearing myself down. I want to live a life where others are drawn to the amazing adventure of a life with Christ-a bold, fearless journey with a God who is like a loose cannon of creativity and possibility.
