My One Word: Transform
Did you know 9 out of 10 people who make new year resolutions fail or give up by march. I decided against making resolutions this year. I have never heard of ONE WORD until last year, so in december I got to researching it. I found a website that went into full detail about the project and there is even a book to help with the process. I’ve been reading this awesome book and jotted down all the things I need to work on this year. I narrowed it down to 1 word. TRANSFORM. My verse is Romans 12:2 AMP version because I love how it explains exactly what the verse means….
Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

I decided on TRANSFORM because as my mind is renewed, all these things will become a part of me. I used to be on a constant incline, in constant prayer with God. I had a. Awesome relationship with him, then I let hurt feelings cloud my mind and put me on this roller coaster of ups and downs in my growth. I want that close relationship with God I once had. So here is to a new year and to a new journey.
