As the Pastor was talking about choosing our “one Word” I was praying, and at first the word “joy” came to mind, followed quickly by “steadfast”. At the word “steadfast” coming to mind, I wondered, hmm..that’s a strange word for me to think of, I must have seen it somewhere on the bulletin or insert. After perusing both, I realized it wasn’t there. I saw a scripture reference in the bulletin and then decided to look it up to see what it said. It was Psalm 119:5. To my surprise and “joy” the scripture was ” Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees.” I was not aware of that scripture reference or the use of that word in that scripture as the one the Pastor then read from his bible did not use “steadfast”, but was translated as “directed”. I truly believe that God led me to my one word “steadfast”, and I am excited to see how he uses that one word this year to change my heart and life.
