My One Word: Purim
From: maid-to-serve
Queen Esther and her Jewish relatives rested from their enemies and called the days of celebration Purim, after the word Pur, which means lot. Their enemy had devised a plan to destroy the Jews but God stepped in and the lot fell on the enemy; using the same weapon that was to destroy the Jews. I want this year, and every year, to be a celebration of joy. To remember my enemy is trying to destroy, but my God has already paid the price so that my lot is to win!
