My One Word: Inspire
When I was first introduced to One Word it was in a daily devotional I get by email. I usually am given a Bible verse a year to study, so was intrigued by the idea of one word. Almost immediately, I began to see the word ‘inspire’ everywhere I looked. Even before I received my book, I had ordered the word to hang on my wall (see my picture) and had begun to collect jewelry and other things containing the word. I am a special education teacher, run a youth center and teach a youth Bible study- my goal is to inspire everyone I come into contact with- to draw them to the Lord if they don’t know Him and to draw them to a closer walk if they do. To also inspire them to have confidence in themselves, to learn how to deal with the junk life throws at us, and to find their purpose in life. Last night, I saw part of the word ‘spire’ jump out at me. When looking it up, one of the definitions was something that draws our eyes skyward/heavenward. That’s what I want to be- a spire!
