In searching for my word, I came across a blog post that captured exactly what I wanted to focus on this year…and it was a vow to soften. To quote “The Hands Free Mama” because her words need to reworking (www.handsfreemama.com):

“To me, softening has come to mean pausing, breathing, reflecting, surrendering, accepting, opening, and revealing.

But there is more – and this is the kicker:

Softening means seeing—truly seeing.”
