My One Word: Boldness
I chose BOLDNESS for my one word for 2014. (it was between boldness and joy, but I think I have been working on Joy this past year pretty well) Instead of focusing on a resolution I plan on focusing on that one word all year long. This is one word that has been popping up to me in the past few months. I will be accountable for this word for a year- I am a shy person with social anxiety and I try to avoid confrontation and I normally only share my faith when it is brought up in a conversation. I want to reach out to people with BOLDNESS, being a truly bold Christian, it is what I strive for but it is out of my comfort zone. But it seems this is my challenge for the year. I am to actively pursue BOLDNESS and be transformed in the process. So here I go!
“So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
“Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7
