My One Word: Respect
Respect comes in many styles and flavors. I feel that God wants me to respect the roles he has placed me in. Role of Husband. Respect my wife by showing her I care about her feelings, her needs, her commitment. Role in Switch. To show my youth that I respect their stance with God. It isn’t easy in High School, so for them to feel the respect I have for them as Christians in a very non-Christian environment, they might hold their head up a little higher. Role of King and Priest of my household. If I can respect my wife, then I can respect what goes into making our house a home. I can respect my wife enough to pray for her daily, to lead her in prayer daily and to protect her daily. Role in my job. To do the best job I can do shows respect to my boss. That what he requires of us is respected, in order to run like a well oiled machine. Finally, Role as a child of God. Respect the Holy Word. Respect my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Respect His teachings, to show me how to live my life according to His will. Respect the role He plays in my life, which in turn, will complete the circle of respect for my wife, my church, my job, and my God.
