I choose this word because I knew I needed to let things go – to fully give my life over to God.
I want to rely on God to work things out instead of trying to manipulate others, force my agenda, and control the situation. I want to let go and let God work. I don’t have to always be in charge. Instead of trying harder, I need to trust more. I want to continue using last year’s word humility in not reacting to criticism and feeling the need to defend myself. Surrendered hearts show up best in relationships. I don’t want to be self-serving, I want to be more at peace and not demand my rights Surrender yourself to the Lord, and wait patiently for him. Psalm 37:7
