As I prayed over my one word for 2013, desperately I wanted to choose CONFIDENCE in God’s promises or a Christ-centered LEADER. And yet every time I sat down and talked with my Creator, He revealed this part of my self that is simply not like Him. I am choosing OTHERS as my one word for 2013. These past two years I have chosen TRUST and PURITY in spirit for my words and God has transformed me personally. Now He is telling me I must let the light He has given me shine outwards on OTHERS. I know His goodness in my life, now it’s time to share it.

“But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Matthew 5:44-48
