My One Word: Thankful
From: Chefvick
2018 has been a hard year. I struggles with depression and anxiety a lot of the year. I felt like I was trudging through quick sand. I went to counseling which helped immensely. I felt like my counselor was the only person who gave a flip whether I lived or died. He didn’t use me. He didn’t try to fix me. He just listened. When my husband died almost 10 yrs ago, I lost my sounding board, my best friend, and a lot of other things. In effort to not fall into the depression trap again this year, I decided to keep a gratitude journal. I draw/paint 3 things every day I am thankful for. This helps me to focus on what I have in Jesus, not what is happening to me.
