In a short biography my dad once wrote about me he said, “she excelled in nothing in particular”. This comment has since been nagging at me about what I actually do excel in. What gifts has God given me to advance His kingdom? I am in service to Him and want to use my gifts to their fullest potential for His work. 1 Peter 4:10 says, “God has given each of you a gift from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” I recently came across a quote, most likely from David Viscott,
“The purpose of life is to discover your gift.
The work of life is to develop it.
The meaning of life is to give your gift away.”
