I realized that I have not been truly trusting God to be in control of every aspect of my life. As a senior in high school, I am approaching a milestone unlike any other I’ve encountered so far– and I’ve been planning and calculating and fretting over where I’m going to go and what I’m going to do for months now. And then it hit me that if I were truly faithful to God, I would quit worrying and start trusting Him to be in control (because He is surely is, whether I’m aware of it or not). Come next December, I want to be able to look back on the year and revel in all the wonderful things God was able to do through me because I was faithful and open to His will.
