My One Word: NUMBER
I want to be intentional about how I use my days. Along with My One Word, I also read the book Pursue the Intentional Life this past week. Both convicted me that I am now in my mid 40s and I want each day to count for my good and His glory and purpose. My key verses are: So teach us to number our days,That we may present to You a heart of wisdom. Psalms 90:12 and “Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered— how fleeting my life is. Psalms 39:4
To further plant NUMBER in my heart/mind, I came up with words using the letters in NUMBER to spell out what numbering my days would look like: iNtentional, glUed, (to remain in control of my reactions), talMidim (to mentor, disciple), Bless, Eucharisteo (to give thanks), and Reflect (to glow and reflect my heavenly Father.) I’ve framed these on placed them on my kitchen window to remind me throughout the day.
