Webster’s Dictionary defines determination as firm intent or firmness of purpose. When I saw this definition I thought “Wow, that’s powerful”. Before I finally chose, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to use this word because it seemed like a self fulfilling word and could only be applied to goals that include others. I decided to look it up to be clear on it’s implication. It was that important b/c I’ve struggled with follow through in life due to distraction. Of course, this has resulted in more false starts and failures than I care to admit. John Maxwell put it perfectly when he said that purpose requires intent, therefore we must be intentional about every goal we strive for. My word fits perfect as a root to my 2014 and beyond goals! Matthew 7:24-27
