My One Word stems from Jesus’ description of a Spirit-led person. “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound , but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8, NIV) I believe living this way means being open to the prompting of the Holy Spirit at the drop of a hat – seeking and listening and watching for His invitation to participate in the Kingdom through whimsical, out of the ordinary acts of love. The spontaneity of following the Holy Spirit whenever, wherever, doing whatever He says regardless of what I had planned for the day – that is what whimsy is all about.
