I have selected RELOAD for my one word because I have found that I have relied too much on self and not on God. I had lost my job and had no income for nine weeks and nothing was working. I reached out to friends, family, church etc and yet I was still in a bad place. During my time off, I felt the Holy Spirit convicting me to get back into the Word of God. I had signed up for a plan to read the Bible in a Year and started to complete it. I subscribed to devotionals and started praying more. God revealed to me that trusting in self or the world would not work. Ephesians 6 started to haunt me. My Armor was so weak and full of holes. I could not defend myself and it stagnated my Walk with God. As I sit here is Ahoskie, NC, separated from my family for the purposes of work, God has stripped away my self-righteous attitude and has again shown me that I cannot continue to serve Him without my armor.
Therefore, my word for 2015 will be RELOAD. I vow to don the full armor of God and submit totally to the creator, wearing HIS armor proudly. I want others to see the flaming arrows of the evil one his me and self extinguish. I want to be a better example of the one who made me.
Even in the present day military, supplies run low, yet how awesome when that unit is resupplied? God provides us all with a never ending supply of defense, strength and wisdom. Therefore, rather than pout, anger or quit, I will stand fast and RELOAD and stand fast against the attacks of the enemy!
