My one word for 2016 I am pretty sure is Gardening. It will continue that Purposeful living from my word last year, Purpose, while it digs out, roots up, amends the soil of my heart with HIS character, replants and waters what He longs to have in my life. Gardening is hard work, it’s daily work, weekly work, monthly work, seasonal work… It’s intentional, purposeful, takes consistentcy, discipline,planning, self control, time management, all the words I thought might be my one word…. gardening. And though it’s hard work and all those other words, the rewards are great! Tomatoes! Cucumbers! Peppers! or Impatiens that get bigger and better the longer they grow, color blasts thru out the whole year, greenery from ferns and pompas grass that blow in the wind, a picture of beauty out of hard brown ground!!! I plan to physically garden intentionally as well as spiritual garden in my heart with my Lord. I haven’t decided yet if I am to rent a plot at our community garden for veggies, or just improve my own flower garden, but I am sure He will make that clear. And I will SEE the fruit of His work!
