One of my major weaknesses is that I let busyness distract me from spending time with my Creator and Savior. Naturally, when I took time to think about what I wanted God to accomplish in my life this year, I found I had a lot of related words, like listen, seek, and focus. I kept coming back to the fact that if I want God to work in my life, I have to give Him time to do so. If I want to be more patient and loving, I need to ABIDE with God. If I want to be more intentional in my relationships with God and people, I need to ABIDE with God. All of the answers lie with God; I can do nothing without Him (John 15:5).
