I’ve been praying about it and the word that keeps sticking out to me is “intentional.” I have several smaller goals that sort of “fit” with that word.

For example, focusing on people as opposed to events and ‘things.’ I really want to always step back and make sure I’m seeing ministry as people and not events. The other big one is mentoring, discipling and investing in teenagers. I need to be intentional about doing things like that. It’s not going to happen on accident and while God provides opportunities, I can let them pass me by if I’m not intentionally looking for His opportunities. And then, of course, there’s being intentional in my prayer life and Bible reading as well as reading books on leadership and things like that. I also think it’s important to be intentional on honing our gifts and talents that we use for the Lord.

So yes. My word is intentional. 🙂
