‘Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not love, I become as sounding brass and clanging symbols. If I have the gift of prophesy and know all mysteries and have all understanding, and have all faith that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. Though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.”
