I thought my word was going to be “discipline: for 2014, but God confirmed that “Steady” was it with discipline as a foundational principle along with my 7 past One Words: Faith, Expectancy (Lam 3:25), Oneness (John 17), Reverberate (1 Th 2:8), Be (Phil 1:20), Impinge (R.E.A.L.), Lo (Matth 28:20). Romans 12 is my passage and it is how God confirmed that steady was my word. I am to live moment by moment obedient to all that He has already poured into me and not be conformed to the patterns of this world any longer; it is not enough to just know Him, but as I encounter Him afresh and anew each day, I must intentionally posture myself to be formed in His likeness for His kingdom increase and come; and thus purposefully live life as an expression of my love and devotion to Him so that others may see Him in and through me and hunger to know Him too. Steady my heart, O God, that I may walk in oneness with Thee. Steadfast; consistent; solidly grounded; faithful!
