I want to be complete in Christ, no longer looking for “things” to complete me. I have been an Associate Pastor for all of 5 months now. The journey to this point in my life was not one that I would have chosen. Two years ago God began a process of cutting away some things beginning with a successful award winning business that I had owned for 13 years. The first verse God lead me to when I the word WHOLE came to me was Joshua 5:8…a bit of an odd verse for many but not for me. I knew what God was telling me, “I’ve cut some things way from you so you can be whole…Oh, and I’m not done yet.” The verse says “…when they had finished circumcising all the people, they stayed in their places in the camp till they were whole.” He then lead me to Matt. 9:22 and Eph. 6:11, essentially saying: “I need to cut on you a bit more, it will take faith to be made whole and you need to suit up!” I am both scared and excited all at once!
