I woke in the middle of the night a few months ago with a burning desire to do a word study on “joy of The Lord.” Then I found a paper my senior in high school had written and forgot on the printer (or did she forget?) It was a comparison contrast paper. In it, she described herself as “pretty chill” compared to her mother who “always acts like the house is on fire.” Ouch!

I used to be a very joyful person!! What happened?! Yes, the quickest answer can be “children”….. 5 of them will quickly divert attention that is for sure! That wake up call a few weeks previous in the middle of the night to deliberately focus uninterrupted time in God’s word to study the true root of my missing word – joy OF THE LORD. I want that so bad!

And then a few weeks ago I found this book “My One Word”. That’s it! That’s my answer to find what’s lost – focus on it for a whole year! How could this be anything but totally awesome?!
