Release…

My one word came to me through my brother… at first I was thinking of having a word like FOCUS or CONSISTENCY or DETERMINATION… when I shared this with my family my brother spoke up and said… “you always do that… every year… that’s not new… your word should be something like… RELEASE”

and God confirmed for me that my brother is SO right….

this year I want to RELEASE… to let go of ANY and EVERY thing holding me back from God…
RELEASE myself of FEAR and DOUBT that hold me back from knowing, believing and living God’s promises
RELEASE myself of MYSELF and all my expectations, to-do lists, “perfectionism” and just allow God to fill me as I let go of myself more and more
RELEASE control and give it over completely and FULLY to God

RELEASE things, plans, people, that I’m holding onto too tightly so that I am empty of those worldly things and desires so that God’s desires and presence takes FULL occupation

RELEASE myself of these shackles that are holding me down so I can be FREE in CHRIST.

At this time next year, I want to look in the mirror and feel FREE and FULL in Christ, with complete trust in Him and with Him in FULL control of my everyday.

I pray the Lord helps me to RELEASE everything that is counterproductive to fullness and freedom and Him.
