My One Word: patience
From: Marty Bennett
I can be an impatient person at times. Impatient with my wife, my son, my job, my church, and even with my relationship with God. I want progress, positive movement in all areas of my life. But my impossible expectations for immediate growth/response are rarely met. I need to slow down, be still, recognize He is in control, and breathe. Orienting myself to patience helps me focus on what truly matters. I will be slower to anger, quicker to listen, and indeed centered and purpose-driven above all else. In God’s time.
