I didn’t choose my one word. I HAD chosen a word. I wanted the word simplify. I began to write in my journal about it, excited about how I was going to change my life with this word. The Key word there is “I”. Several days into my journaling the Lord spoke to me – through scripture verses, in quiet moments, even during my secular reading – that the word He had chosen for me was contentment. I can’t believe all the things God is teaching me through that word. Some days I am scared of it. Many days really, But some other days I am just awed at everything God is addressing through that one word. All the areas in my life He has found to apply it to. And we’ve only been working a month!
