When I focused on the characteristics of the person I want to be, it was someone who is present, focused, dependable, but also someone who has streamlined life — carrying less stuff and baggage and living within my means, but also choosing my direction instead of drifting. “Purposeful” and “Mindful” and “Focused” were alternatives, but “intentional” evokes for me the idea that I can change what I intend to change.
