My One Word: INTENTIONAL
Although I would like to think that as I have grown older that I have grown wiser, I’m sure there may be one or two out there that may chuckle about me writing that. Those would be the individuals who know me best, and see how I fail and make some really stupid mistakes sometimes. I tend to have perfectionistic traits, and picking my “one word” for 2013 was a real struggle, but I really felt led to find a word with scripture to guide me through the year. The word that God just kept bringing back to me in various ways was the word: “INTENTIONAL”.
intentional: done with intention
intention- a determination to act in a certain way: resolve
This year, I want to live a life that is INTENTIONALly pleasing to God in all areas of my life. This includes my daily walk (prayer/Bible study), my marriage, my parenting, my job, my friendships, my service, my struggles…. my everything! I want others to be able to see Jesus in me… through each aspect of my life.
The verse that I will be using with my word, INTENTIONAL, is:
Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed bu the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2 (HCSB)
