My One Word: Determination
I’ve been running for three years and was very committed to losing weight. Due to some life changes and moving this year, I did set myself back a bit by indulging more this year in bad food choices than I have in the past.
For 2014, I am determined to make myself into the runner I want to be. I am determined to be strong willed and not let poor eating choices stop me from accomplishing my goals. I am determined to get outside and run according to my schedule or go to the gym with a scheduled rest day. I am determined to run the Rhode Island triple crown, three half marathons in the state throughout the year, as well as the New Bedford Half Marathon in March. I am determined to make my running pace around 7 minutes and to finish 5k’s in 23/24 minutes.
In other aspects of my life, I am determined to spend more QUALITY time with my family. It’s been a rocky year and it’s important to rebuild strong relationships and to have no regrets. I am determined to continue to build a strong relationship with the love of my life and to stick by her no matter what life changes and opportunities will happen with her.
Above all, I am determined to be happy in 2014, and I’ll do whatever it takes to reach that goal.
