My One Word: Action
For two years now, I’ve known and heard about My One Word. I thought it was a fantastic idea, but only thought about it for a few days or so. I did not act on it. However this year, God is grabbing my attention and prodding me to take action. Areas in my life are not where I wish them to be, but it is my procrastination, fear, busyness, stress, anxiety (keep on filling in the excuses!) that got me exactly to the spot I am currently. Not only am I excited to see the changes my action makes, but far more excited to see what type of action God does in my life. He is always amazing me on ways I see him in my daily life, but when I make bolder moves and give him width to do something with me, huge things happen. I’ve missed that, quite much. As I embark into action, I am filled with awe how God keeps seeing the best in me and challenges me to rise. So, to quote a favorite song of mine by Shawn McDonald, I will rise out of these ashes, because He who is in me is greater than I will ever be and I will rise!
