When I was searching for my word I was considering self-control or self-discipline but as I read Hebrews 12:1-13 God spoke to me and told me I could not do this by myself so I needed to drop the “self.” My word is DISCIPLINE so that it not only includes me disciplining myself but HIM disciplining me as well. Part of this is that I need to look up to Him much more and stop always relying on myself. I need to constantly be looking up to Him and listen for the changes that he would have me make in my life to become the person that he has called me to be.
