My One Word: Fearless
Fearless
I am a fearful person, and have been as long as I can remember. I’m not referring to a fear of heights or roller coasters (although I am fearful of those things), I’m talking about fear of living well. Fear of succeeding in school and in a new career. Fear of what intimacy with God means. A fear of the person I really am inside. A fear of what losing 80# will mean for me.
Intimacy with God, doing well in school and work, getting fit, being me — these are good things. So why I am afraid? I don’t know, but I want to be unafraid, I want to be bold, brave and intrepid – I want to be FEARLESS.
Isaiah 41:10 – So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
