Many verses in the Bible tell us to do something by starting with the word ‘be’. Be alert, be kind, be strong and courageous. While my first thoughts about ‘be’ was to ‘be in the moment’, I realized that it can mean much more. For example, a resolution to study more could be transformed into ‘be a student’. To me, it means something different than just to focus, but to become what God intends for us.
