My One Word: Wonder
There is a lot of “wonder” in our world, but most of us totally miss it because we are so busy doing whatever it is that we do. We had our kids and grandkids here several times over the past few months, and I noticed once again how sweet the WONDER of a child is. Old things to us are new to them. They find wonder and joy in a balloon, throwing a ball for a dog to fetch, petting a horse, playing chase, telling their Gramcy stories, or listening to stories about when Gramcy was a child.
I want to find and enjoy my WONDER again. The wonder of God’s Creation, Christ’s overwhelming love and sacrifice for us, the joy of living and loving. I don’t want to be defined by fear (of illness, money issues, conflicts, uncertainty), but by my faith, family, love, and the WONDER that God loves me so much!
