After reading your book in December 2012 I had no idea how choosing this one word would play out in my life in 2013. I choose the word “Journey” hoping that I could slow down and enjoy the ride of life more than I had been able to in the past. Little did I know this word would take on an entirely new meaning to me by the end of 2013. After a spouse’s job lose, the lose of a parent, and a few other life altering events, the word journey remained a constant reminder to me that God was with me during “my Journey” even during the toughest storms of life. After this past year, I am happy to be able to choose a new word for 2014, Joy. 2013 taught me how to find joy in the hard times and through the journey of life to trust in God’s plan.
