I chose transparent because I recently made a decision that initiated a response from the other party in thanking me for my transparency. In turn, I began looking up this description to see what this brother in Christ meant exactly, which in the last couple hours has led me to this page choosing my One Word for the year! I desire real and honest relationships and the only way to receive them is to give that of myself. Being the real me has been foreign, even to me, for a long time due to some choices I made in my life. God has ‘removed my reproach’ and is teaching me to live in His freedom and grace. He has blessed me with new friendships, a loving husband, and a beautiful and healthy son. Learning to be transparent number one with God, with myself, and those close to me will bring His freedom in a deeper way into my life. At one time, what others thought of me didn’t affect me….that changed over the last 4-5 years and I know as I grow deeper with my confidence in Christ that He will transform that into His perfect image. I am very grateful for ‘stumbling’ upon this amazing idea and am very excited for what God has in store for leading me here!! 🙂
