My One Word: Extravagant!
My word is EXTRAVAGANT ! I am the opposite of extravagant-possibly in every way! I’m practical, cautious, frugal, and the Queen of un-fun. So it cracks me up that this is my word! My word is anchored to Eph 5:1, 2 “Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious, but extravagant. he didn’t love in order to get something from us, but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.” (MSG). Since embracing this word Extravagant (I even like saying the word-lol), I have been intentionally acting extravagantly—in demonstrating and feeling more extravagant acceptance towards others/life/self; forgiveness, love, and even laughing more extravagantly. I’m reaching out to help others more extravagantly instead of retreating and isolating. I feel an emergence of healing since embracing my word. Extravagant is my new lens : ) My spirit gets excited when I see, hear, say, and think about my word !
