My One Word: persevere
I started strong in 2015, but the harder life became, the more I struggled. I complained and whined and wanted to quit. I know quitting isn’t a real option, but I want to shine for Jesus, to run the race He sets before me with a joyful heart. To be transformed. And so, I read His Word and know I must persevere. One meaning of persevere is abide. Abide was my word for 2015. I must continue to abide by persevering in suffering and trial. “Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. (Romans 5: 2-5)
