For anything to work, you must be committed and intentionally chose to be open to whatever God’s plan for you is. Even if that plan is something you’d never think of for yourself. God gives us free will, he never turns from us, but we must be intentional in choosing to stay committed to Him. As we’re born into sin-due to Adam & Eve’s choices-we’re somewhat in direct conflict of God’s plan due to our free will, lack of commitment, lust of the flesh and not being intentional in willingly putting our head into the yoke with Him. If we do-God’s word tells us-we’re guaranteed that our burdens will be lightened and we’ll have an abundant life. It’s so simple, but we chose to make it so complicated!
