My One Word: discipline
As I have aged and met the challenges of everyday life, I have lost the drive and discipline I once had in my 20’s and 30’s. I served in the Army and got my undergraduate degree when I was in my 20’s and enjoyed the consistency and discipline of the military life, as well as that of the college enrollment. During these two phases of my life I had my first two children just 12 months apart. I was an early childhood major so again, I was “sold out” to consistency, scheduling, regularity, and all that goes along with juggling these multiple activities. With all of the discipline life required, my Spiritual life was very disciplined too. With age and baby number three, came the need for some readjustments, loss of control of certain situations in a daily schedule, and a little relaxation in rigidity. My life is not as disciplined as it once was and I feel I need to gain some of that back.
