God is love. Jesus taught us all to love one another. He taught to love the poor, the downtrodden, the lonely. He taught us to love Him. He taught us what true love really is.
We are NOT to love the world, neither the things of the world. But we are to love one another even as He has loved us and continues to love us.
Love is the greatest thing in the world, but, basically, it is the one thing that is missing in too many people’s lives.
While the world is filled with war and hatred, we can still love because we have His love abiding in us.
We are commanded to love, but it is not a commandment that is impossible for us to keep. In ourselves we cannot do it, but we love through Christ’s love, so it is possible. Love grows and needs to be shared with each other and with everybody. People will know we are Christians
by our love.
