A few weeks before my boss challenged us with this book I had visited a friend’s house and she had the word Abide displayed in her formal dining room. When I asked her about it she gave me such a wonderful explanation how she wants to Abide in a daily relationship with Christ. Abiding in Christ means allowing His Word to fill our minds, direct our wills.
I have a daily struggle making time to spend time in His word. As a single mom of 2 athletic boys this is a huge problem. But on days that I spend time in prayer my whole day is different. I am more sensitive to His will and not mine. Those are peaceful days even if its a ” bad day ” at work or anywhere they are days filled with hope and a constant reminder of the eternal gift He gives us.
