As I read the book over Christmas I felt my one word was “intimacy” as I’m at that place where I need to go deeper with God. We have just done this at our Life Group retreat and I thought it would confirm the word that had sat with me whilst reading the book. But as hard as I tried to hang onto that word, it morphed into “together” which is a less intense and ‘earlier in the process’ word which sits lighter and free. This morning I was reminded in my spirit of an old hymn written in 1935 called “My God & I” and it matched so beautifully with what I want to achieve with “together”. Its intentionally getting to know God by being and doing together and growing into friendship and intimacy that way. So my one word is “together”.
