As I looked through my list of possible words, intimidated stuck out. Reminding me of an event that very day where I was greatly intimidated. I defined the word and looked at synonyms and antonyms of the word. Afraid was one of the synonyms which lead me to look at fear. I began to look in Scripture what is the opposite of fear and I found that peace is what spoke to me. To conquer my fears I needed God’s peace strong and vibrant in my life. Within hours of looking into this word peace and how I felt it could be my word for 2014, God began confirming it through people and His Word. So I choose peace for my life in God! True peace only comes from Him so I am looking forward to the changes He desires to make in my heart this next year!
