VIDEO BLOG: February’s Focus
February 4, 2010
At the beginning of each month Mike Ashcraft, the Pastor at Port City Community Church, will be posting a short video to explain where we are going with that month’s blog topic. Our hope is that by using our blog to focus on these different topics throughout the year you will have a tool to apply this concept to your life and how you are using your one word. We’ve posted the topic video for February and invite you to check it out below. Thank you for sharing this journey together with us and we are really excited about what God is going to do in us this year!
In Mike’s video, he points out a new account feature that we are really excited about, the Word Journal. To begin using your word journal you will need to register for an account with MYONEWORD.ORG. To find out more about how the Word Journal works click here.
I am doing the Video Journal as well as beginning to journal at home during my morning quiet time. This is not an easy thing to incorporate into an already very busy life. However, I remember a sermon message recently and I am reminded that if I am to busy for God then I am just to busy. So I am DISCOVERING(my word is discover) to lay some thing down and pick up more time with the one that will make a difference in my life and my walk, God. Thank you so much for the journal and leadership! God Bless! Brenda
my word is honest – i hope i will be honest and spend the time required to learn to walk with christ everyday. not just on suday
or when in trouble. i will be honest and arrange my time so i can learn to be more like christ.
Taking time to write my life on pages has showed me where I have left off doing 1 special thing for me; I kept putting it off. Also, I found out writing a schedule for the week (in the afternoon) helps me stay on track in the mornings!Ha!
Seriously, starting out in the mornings with no plans written is my time wasted.
here is a funny thing, as i walk in honesty… i want others to be honest back. just because that is my one word doesnt mean it is their one word. funny how when i type the word word it often comes out as work… and it is work on the word.
Nice post and this post helped me alot in my college assignement. Thank you as your information.
