My One Word: Present
I noticed that I would walk away from talks with my husband, my kids, meetings at work and not remember a single thing. During most of those interactions, my head would be so clouded with a million things. I can only fit so much up there! Towards the end of this year, I really started focusing on how I could stay engaged and actually care about things being discussed, even if I had no interest in those things. One meaning of “present” is “to become manifest”, meaning to show with evidence. To me, my evidence is showing that I am engaged, following up when necessary, basically taking action.
